Santa Can You Hear Me? By Loredana

Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday because I get to decorate with my mom and spend time with my family… and the gifts are too bad either! ūüėČ I usually don’t put alot pf things on my christmas list, especially big things, but hey – I just turned 21 last month and¬†I think that deserves some special gifts!

What¬†I want most, and have been wanting for as long as¬†I can remember, is my very first pair of RED BOTTOMS!!! Yep, I would love to see those Loubis under my Christmas tree! They are just so fabulous and sexy and¬†I feel that every girl should splurge and have at least a pair. They are so beautiful and you know you are going to feel so confident¬†walking in them.¬†No shoe will ever compair to Christian Louboutins and¬†I can’t wait to own a pair of these babies! One day¬†it will happen, I just know it!

Second on my Christmas list is a Mac Book Pro. Apple has been the most popular and trustworthy company for electronics since forever and it seems that everyone is up to date except for me. While everyone has their Mac Books I’m stuck with a Dell laptop that does not work very well. I have had it for 4 years and I think it’s time for an upgrade. Not only have I heard that there is so much more to do on a Mac and that the quality is better, but I also heard that the softare for antivirus is amazing which is exactly what¬†I need since I am constantly on the phone with Dell customer service trying to get rid of a virus. This would be so great for me to have and alot easier too!

Lastly, I would like a ticket to the Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball. Two years ago for Christmas I was surprised with 3 tickets to the Lady Gaga Monster Ball. The whole time we were opening gifts Lady Gaga was playing in the background. Yeah, I thought it was weird too, and then I put it all together. Not only did I jump up and down but I also cried and my uncle got it all on video! It was the best Christmas ever. If I got a ticket to the Born This Way Ball I will probably do exactly the same thing I did two years ago ūüôā It would complete this Christmas and make me so happy!

As you can see, I went cheap this year! ūüėČ These are just somethings¬†I have on my Christmas wishlist, but¬†it won’t matter what I get¬†as long as I get to spend time with my family!

Happy Holidays!!! ūüôā

Birthday & Christmas all in the same month……- BY Fantasia

December is a busy month for me; it is my dad’s birthday, my birthday and the Christmas holidays all in the same month!

Each year I receive wonderful gifts without even asking. However, this time of the year I know exactly what I want for Christmas.

There are 2 main wishes on my wish list this holiday season and they are……..

1. A Townhouse located in Manhattan

This would be the best present to have, I love the city environment and the feeling I get when I am in the city is indescribable. Living in the city will be an absolute enjoyment and fulfillment.

However, if I can not get a Townhouse in Manhattan; I could settle for an apartment.

Louboutin Daffodile 160,

2. Christian Louboutin Crystal Aurora Platform Pumps Silver

Every time I look at this shoe I get an instant shoegasm. I am OBSESS with Christian Louboutin pumps, but this pump takes my breath away. There is one thing that has my heart taken right now, and it is the Crystal Aurora Platform Pumps Sliver from Christian Louboutin. The pump enhances the feminine elegance for any women. This pump was made with  for a woman that surrounds herself in elegant atmospheres.  If I was to receive this gift for Christmas or my birthday I will absolutely be ecstatic.

Although, both of my gifts are very expensive; anything for Christmas will be greatly appreciated.

The best gifts I am¬†receiving¬†so far is “Winter Vacation.” These past few weeks just been filled with projects, exams, quizzes and endless commutes to the city. I am greatly to take a break from commuting and relax.

Well, that is all for now.

My Christmas Wish List By Christopher N

This time of the year it is very difficult to know what exactly I want for Christmas because Im very happy with the gifts I’ve received through out the year,

This year AGAIN I have no idea what I would like to ask for. If I would like something, it would be two things.

1.Christmas Vacation to Dominican Republic

This would be the best present to have, I would be surrounded by my family during the holidays, I would be under the hot sun, and it would be the greatest to get the hell of New York for awhile. As the semester is ending, its now time to relax, and as winter is coming in, its time for me to go out and miss this part of NYC weather. Winter is not my favorite season so I would love to miss as much as possible. As the semester is ending, I would like to relax right after Christmas and come back right before Senior Co-op. This would be the best present because I do not know when I will go back to Dominican Republic because who know if I get hired over the summer.

2. Louis Vuitton Wilshire richelieu Spring/Summer 2013

I do have an obsession with LV so it wouldn’t be shocking to want this for X-Mas. These shoes are really nice; I like the color and the details and style. The would look great for winter and they look great for spring; I love items that can be used all year round. THESE SHOES ARE BAD ASS!!!!!! They would make me really hapy to them under the tree.¬†

So if I were to receive either one or both, it would be a great holiday.

But again, I really do not know what I would like, Im happy with whatever I get, I just want to relax during the break, and thats the best gift I could receive NO SCHOOL, QUIZES, EXAMS, PROJECTS, HOMEWORK and NO COMMUTE .

All I Want for Christmas…

is for the World Not to End.

There is lots of talk about the worlds end, to be quite precise December 21, 2012 is that date. The Mayan calender ends on this date which is odd that we follow it because it looks nothing like any calender I’ve ever seen,¬†who’s¬†to say that it’s even a calender. Oddly enough,¬†predictions of climate change, aliens, zombies, blackouts, and many others have surfaced with relation to this date. However,¬†people seem not¬†to be ¬†so shaken up by any of these events; with 19 days left you’d think everyone had lost their minds and began to cause¬†mayhem¬†everywhere. To be quite honest, I have a slight belief that something will be happening this month; all viral information has me in slight¬†belief¬†that there will be a significant change to the course of human life. Hopefully, these negative predictions are wrong and if not, I pray we survive it, learn from the mistakes that caused it, and change ourselves to prevent it from happening again. You see, how could I worry about an Iphone 5 with the thought that my mother would be investing her time and money in a gift that I will never be able to open. If these theories are true, we must add value to the time we have left. This Christmas I wish that we all put aside our differences as well as our wallets and spend this time with the people that really matter. What’s the Iphone 5 without a friend or loved one to call? A material item can never replace the wonderful feeling of love and joy. With the consumer qualities that we have all become accustom to since the birth of America maybe the world is in need of a life changing event. Not to say that consumerism is bad and money isn’t nice but what is most important to you? Throughout history we have witnessed many lives come to short and unexpected ends. Even if ¬†you don’t believe the world will end in 19 days, live this holiday like it’s your last.

Merry Early Christmas,

Daisha Perez

A Very Jewish Christmas by Mary

I’ve always loved the holiday cheer, especially in New York, even though I barely even celebrate¬†Hanukkah. I’ve also never really asked for much for the holidays because most of the time I can’t really afford to gift anything back! All my Christmas’ have been spent as the token Jew sitting at the table at various friend’s houses over the years. So, it’s always been a very Jewish Christmas for me. But, if I really had to make a holiday gift wish list it would include the following:

1. iPad – I really just want to join in the hype, I feel like I’m the only one left

2. A lifetime supply of Ticketmaster gift cards – I can never afford all the tickets that I want to get to see all these concerts, so some gift cards to Ticketmaster would be pretty awesome.

3. The Wanted – ..with a bow & ribbon. I mean, this one doesn’t really need¬†explanation. I just want them for the holidays.

4. A NYC Apartment – I mean who doesn’t want one? What better time to ask for one than for the holidays? Preferably a brownstone, but I’m not picky.

Happy Holidays, bloggers!

Fiji Is Where I Wanna Be! By Loredana

What I would love more than anything is this world is to be in paradise, relaxing, laying on the beach, taking in the sun and swimming in the crystal clear water of Fiji! I’ve always had a fascination with Fiji since the first time I had heard about it. It just seems like¬†such a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing place to be and this site is not something you can get everywhere! It seems like such a different experience than the ones we have in the states, I mean, look at the place! Who wouldn’t want to go?!

Just looking at pictures I am in awe that a place like this can exist. It looks so flawless and perfect!  If I were to go I would be nothing but smiles all day. The palm trees and the clear water and the amazing scenery makes this place look so appealing. I also see it as a place that you can go to with your girlfriends, or with your family, or even on your honeymoon. It is just such an amazing site for me to see and I am in love with it already! I get so excited when I see these pictures and hope that one day my dream will come true and I will be on the beautiful island of Fiji with some great people that I love sharing the experience with me!

A Fun Vacation With Christopher N

There are many wonderful countries around the world, Italy, France, ect. but what makes me the happiest is going back to my family routes, Dominican Republic. Many people dream to go to the beaches there, but its my second home and where I feel at ease. New York City can be damn hectic, to many people all over the place, the hustle and bustle, that sounds nice for about 2 months, but you need to sit back and see nature.

When I go to Dominican Republic I am surrounded by family, and I have a big family. When I am in New York, I am not around family because they all live in Dominican Republic. Growing up since I was one month old, I traveled 2 to 3 times a year to go visit. Summers were spend at our beach house, the family will come over and stay for a few days, all the cousins got together and it was time to do what kids do best play. We will be in the pool or jacuzzi all day, run around the yard inventing games, or we will  open the backyard door and be on the beach boogie boarding, those were the times. After we got tired of being in the water, I will go to my cousins houses in other cities, and then me and my mom, dad, sister, brother and grandma, sometimes cousins will go around the country and visit hotels.

When we go to hotels it was great, I had to do nothing, but enjoy my surroundings, but the thing that brings me in, is drinking a virgin pina colada. The hotels has unlimited pina coladas, well at least most of them, and anytime I go back, I must have one. Going to different hotels, I met many other kids from other countries that were on vacations, it was interesting meeting people from around the world at a young age. Of course I didnt think that then, we just played, but now pondering I guess its cool.

But today its different, college came, internships, and scheduling has been difficult to go back. I recently went back this summer and I had a blast, because I hadn‚Äôt been back since I graduated from High School. But when I came back it felt like how I always felt, at ease. The beaches are therapeutic, some areas of the country have clear blue waters, others more darker but with waves, which makes things more fun. Give me a jet ski and a pina colada and we have ourselves the best time in the world. Well a few ‚Äúbeverages‚ÄĚ and family and laughter is the best rehad from New York.

Surrounding yourself with what really matters clears the mind, New York you always wanting something. If my parents ask me ‚ÄúWhere do you want to go this summer‚ÄĚ I will always say Dominican Republic. There nothing more that I would like to do but spend time with family. Of course I would love to visit other countries but I‚Äôve been to the top cities I‚Äôve wanted to go and Im happy with that, maybe some other time.¬†

If you have visit the country, I hope you enjoyed it and if you haven’t, then you must go, its a 3 hour flight of heaven, but find a good hotel though. So this has been fun sharing about myself.

Wanderlust is defined by an impulse to move around aimlessly and without a fixed course or goal.  Wanderlust should be my middle name!

I’m not a planner. ¬†And I’ve been most fortunate over the last ten years or so to be able to just pick up and go! ¬†Expense and homeland security has all but rendered that nearly impossible but I look back fondly on the memories I have from being truly free and able to move about the world with nary a care.

When I lived in London often I’d go to the airport on Friday afternoon and see what the next flight would be to a European city I had a hankering to go to for the weekend. ¬†Paris, Rome, Lisbon, Majorca, Barcelona, Prague, Geneva, Chamonix, the Italian Dolomites ¬†and Mageve to ski–you name it, I did it.

I’ve galavanted around Africa several times with a “if it’s Tuesday, it must be Belgium” kind of attitude. ¬†Boot camp training on the coast of Kenya, meeting friends in Nairobi, ¬†safari in Botswana, Zambia and Namibia, white water rafting on the Zambezi river, exploring Soweto in Johannasburg, hiking Table Mountain and drinking wine in South Africa, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and running off for a “dirty weekend” in Zanzibar!

Other jaunts include hiking and biking mountains and volcanoes in Patagonia, Argentina and Chile (and watching Tango in Buenos Aires).  An illicit rendezvous in Rio, then helicoptering to an island and hiking and kayaking off the coast of Brazil; hiking and biking in India, Croatia, Northern France, Switzerland, Mexico, Canada,  New Zealand,  Israel, Sweden, Norway, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Thailand, Japan and Italy. Last year this time I was in Russia of all places!   Oh and the food, the wine, the music, the shopping and the men!!!!  And the sights, sounds, smells along the way.  All fantastic adventures!

Only wish I was headed to Vietnam and Cambodia this holiday season. ¬†And or Australia. ¬†China, Uruguay also on the list of places I’ve yet to get to. ¬†Looking forward to adding them to the list—hopefully, soon!!!

Bon voyage! ¬†Cheers…heidi

London Calling by Mary

Traveling is one of my favorite things to do, when I have the money to afford it. While beaches and sunbathing aren’t exactly my favorite things to do, I love my fair share of sight seeing. I would much rather walk around and take photos of landmarks than lay around on a towel, burning to a crisp.

I will always be a city girl at heart and I don’t think that will ever change. Before my aunt (the sister I never had) got married and started her family, she and I used to go to California every year and just do something¬†extravagant¬†that most¬†tourists¬†don’t do when they visit. One year we somehow managed to get tickets and go to the Teen Choice Awards at Universal Studios, another year I dragged her out to Disneyland for the third Pirates of the Caribbean movie premiere to wait for Johnny Depp for 16 hours (that’s not an exaggeration), and then the fun ended a few years ago when we went to see Dane Cook at the Laugh Factory shortly after I launched my fan site for him.

A few summers ago, to make up for lost time, I signed up to travel all the famous cities in Europe. It was one of the most life changing experiences I’ve ever had the opportunity to encounter. It was love at first sight on our first stop in London. Absolutely everything about this city had me falling in love with every step I took. Something about it is just magical. The phone booths, the accents, the Queen.. really though, what’s not to love?

But our romance was short lived when we had to make our way to our next stop in Paris after only 2 days in the wonderful city of London. I sincerely contemplated hiding way in a telephone booth to stay, hoping no one would notice. Unfortunately, it wasn’t an option.

Everyday since then, I’ve been so anxious to return to what might just be my favorite city in the world, not far after New York City. Every time I come so close, yet so far away. I’ve come to terms with the fact that as long as I’m a broke student living in Manhattan, splurges on spontaneous vacations are virtually nonexistent. At this point, my fingers are tightly crossed in high hopes of studying abroad with LIM for next Spring for my Junior year of college. It would be nothing short of being my life dream. But, until then, that’s all it can really be for now… just a dream.

In the mean time, keeping those fingers crossed for me, bloggers…
…because London is still calling me.

Emma Watson and Burberry by Loredana

Being a die hard Harry Potter fan (I know, I’m a nerd) i absolutely adore Emma Watson. Having watched every move from when it was first made I always thought she was wonderful. Years later and i still believe that! She is so beautiful and has grown up and made a name for herself apart from the Harry Potter films. She is so classy and elegant for such a young woman and is such an icon.

A brand that I absolutely love is Burberry, which uses Emma Watson as their celebrity endorser. Being someone who absolutely loves both Emma Watson and Burberry i believe this is a perfect match! The brand is British, along with Emma¬†which is one of the reasons this is a perfect match. Burberry sticks to their roots and their imagine by using everything British. Using Emma as a celebrity endorser is perfect because she is stylish, chic, classy and elegant — all things that represent the Burberry brand, and she look absolutely stunning in the ads!

It is important for a brand to choose the right person to represent them. They must choose someone who has credibility and will show off the brand in the right way — a positive way. Emma Watson is a model celebrity. She has never done anything wrong that would give her bad press and this is the exact type of person brands needs. They want someone who has a positive imagine and consistent good behavior.

Celebrity endorsers are also supposed to make the brand enhance the look of the brand, without over shadowing the brand. They help sell a fairytale  and gives a brand extra edge and attention. I know that when I look at the Burberry ads with Emma Watson, I just want to be her and be in her position! She does such a great job for the brand and makes people want to buy Burberry!

Love Burberry and love Emma!!!!
