Santa Can You Hear Me? By Loredana

Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday because I get to decorate with my mom and spend time with my family… and the gifts are too bad either! 😉 I usually don’t put alot pf things on my christmas list, especially big things, but hey – I just turned 21 last month and I think that deserves some special gifts!

What I want most, and have been wanting for as long as I can remember, is my very first pair of RED BOTTOMS!!! Yep, I would love to see those Loubis under my Christmas tree! They are just so fabulous and sexy and I feel that every girl should splurge and have at least a pair. They are so beautiful and you know you are going to feel so confident walking in them. No shoe will ever compair to Christian Louboutins and I can’t wait to own a pair of these babies! One day it will happen, I just know it!

 

 

Second on my Christmas list is a Mac Book Pro. Apple has been the most popular and trustworthy company for electronics since forever and it seems that everyone is up to date except for me. While everyone has their Mac Books I’m stuck with a Dell laptop that does not work very well. I have had it for 4 years and I think it’s time for an upgrade. Not only have I heard that there is so much more to do on a Mac and that the quality is better, but I also heard that the softare for antivirus is amazing which is exactly what I need since I am constantly on the phone with Dell customer service trying to get rid of a virus. This would be so great for me to have and alot easier too!

Lastly, I would like a ticket to the Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball. Two years ago for Christmas I was surprised with 3 tickets to the Lady Gaga Monster Ball. The whole time we were opening gifts Lady Gaga was playing in the background. Yeah, I thought it was weird too, and then I put it all together. Not only did I jump up and down but I also cried and my uncle got it all on video! It was the best Christmas ever. If I got a ticket to the Born This Way Ball I will probably do exactly the same thing I did two years ago 🙂 It would complete this Christmas and make me so happy!

As you can see, I went cheap this year! 😉 These are just somethings I have on my Christmas wishlist, but it won’t matter what I get as long as I get to spend time with my family!

Birthday & Christmas all in the same month……- BY Fantasia

December is a busy month for me; it is my dad’s birthday, my birthday and the Christmas holidays all in the same month!

Each year I receive wonderful gifts without even asking. However, this time of the year I know exactly what I want for Christmas.

There are 2 main wishes on my wish list this holiday season and they are……..

1. A Townhouse located in Manhattan

This would be the best present to have, I love the city environment and the feeling I get when I am in the city is indescribable. Living in the city will be an absolute enjoyment and fulfillment.

However, if I can not get a Townhouse in Manhattan; I could settle for an apartment.

2. Christian Louboutin Crystal Aurora Platform Pumps Silver

Every time I look at this shoe I get an instant shoegasm. I am OBSESS with Christian Louboutin pumps, but this pump takes my breath away. There is one thing that has my heart taken right now, and it is the Crystal Aurora Platform Pumps Sliver from Christian Louboutin. The pump enhances the feminine elegance for any women. This pump was made with  for a woman that surrounds herself in elegant atmospheres.  If I was to receive this gift for Christmas or my birthday I will absolutely be ecstatic.

Although, both of my gifts are very expensive; anything for Christmas will be greatly appreciated.

The best gifts I am receiving so far is “Winter Vacation.” These past few weeks just been filled with projects, exams, quizzes and endless commutes to the city. I am greatly to take a break from commuting and relax.

My Christmas Wish List By Christopher N

This time of the year it is very difficult to know what exactly I want for Christmas because Im very happy with the gifts I’ve received through out the year,

This year AGAIN I have no idea what I would like to ask for. If I would like something, it would be two things.

1.Christmas Vacation to Dominican Republic

This would be the best present to have, I would be surrounded by my family during the holidays, I would be under the hot sun, and it would be the greatest to get the hell of New York for awhile. As the semester is ending, its now time to relax, and as winter is coming in, its time for me to go out and miss this part of NYC weather. Winter is not my favorite season so I would love to miss as much as possible. As the semester is ending, I would like to relax right after Christmas and come back right before Senior Co-op. This would be the best present because I do not know when I will go back to Dominican Republic because who know if I get hired over the summer. 

2. Louis Vuitton Wilshire richelieu Spring/Summer 2013

I do have an obsession with LV so it wouldn’t be shocking to want this for X-Mas. These shoes are really nice; I like the color and the details and style. The would look great for winter and they look great for spring; I love items that can be used all year round. THESE SHOES ARE BAD ASS!!!!!! They would make me really hapy to them under the tree. 

  So if I were to receive either one or both, it would be a great holiday.

But again, I really do not know what I would like, Im happy with whatever I get, I just want to relax during the break, and thats the best gift I could receive NO SCHOOL, QUIZES, EXAMS, PROJECTS, HOMEWORK and NO COMMUTE .

All I Want for Christmas…

is for the World Not to End.

There is lots of talk about the worlds end, to be quite precise December 21, 2012 is that date. The Mayan calender ends on this date which is odd that we follow it because it looks nothing like any calender I’ve ever seen, who’s to say that it’s even a calender. Oddly enough, predictions of climate change, aliens, zombies, blackouts, and many others have surfaced with relation to this date. However, people seem not to be  so shaken up by any of these events; with 19 days left you’d think everyone had lost their minds and began to cause mayhem everywhere. To be quite honest, I have a slight belief that something will be happening this month; all viral information has me in slight belief that there will be a significant change to the course of human life. Hopefully, these negative predictions are wrong and if not, I pray we survive it, learn from the mistakes that caused it, and change ourselves to prevent it from happening again. You see, how could I worry about an Iphone 5 with the thought that my mother would be investing her time and money in a gift that I will never be able to open. If these theories are true, we must add value to the time we have left. This Christmas I wish that we all put aside our differences as well as our wallets and spend this time with the people that really matter. What’s the Iphone 5 without a friend or loved one to call? A material item can never replace the wonderful feeling of love and joy. With the consumer qualities that we have all become accustom to since the birth of America maybe the world is in need of a life changing event. Not to say that consumerism is bad and money isn’t nice but what is most important to you? Throughout history we have witnessed many lives come to short and unexpected ends. Even if  you don’t believe the world will end in 19 days, live this holiday like it’s your last.

Dear Santa,

No matter what I do to make potentially positive changes in my life, I cannot seem to shake free from this black storm cloud above my head that follows me everywhere I go! Each year becomes more and more difficult than the last, though from the outside it appears I’ve got my shit together for a 20 year old: full time student, intern, part time job holder, rent-paying apartment inhibiter; I’m a hard worker, Santa! So let me have something for once. I’m materialistic but also responsible, so I feel zero guilt for the few gifts I am asking for this year because they are (somewhat) necessities. I’ll keep it real for you, Santa. Here it goes:

I’m trying to build my archive of furniture for when I graduate, get a rocking job, and move into my own cozy apartment sans roommates. I’m really liking this ‘Furlicious’ line from PB and I can picture this lounger hanging out in my bedroom. I want it!

I’m a Southpark fan with a strong interest in fashion (of course) so my favorite episode of the show is where Marc Jacobs has a cameo as a doll! This is a replica of the doll, ‘Muscle Man Marc’, that is sold by Marc Jacobs and I want it!

That’s really it. But also, feel free to stuff my stocking with cash like its a money bag. I’ll leave you some extra cookies.

A Very Jewish Christmas by Mary

I’ve always loved the holiday cheer, especially in New York, even though I barely even celebrate Hanukkah. I’ve also never really asked for much for the holidays because most of the time I can’t really afford to gift anything back! All my Christmas’ have been spent as the token Jew sitting at the table at various friend’s houses over the years. So, it’s always been a very Jewish Christmas for me. But, if I really had to make a holiday gift wish list it would include the following:

1. iPad – I really just want to join in the hype, I feel like I’m the only one left

2. A lifetime supply of Ticketmaster gift cards – I can never afford all the tickets that I want to get to see all these concerts, so some gift cards to Ticketmaster would be pretty awesome.

3. The Wanted – ..with a bow & ribbon. I mean, this one doesn’t really need explanation. I just want them for the holidays.

4. A NYC Apartment – I mean who doesn’t want one? What better time to ask for one than for the holidays? Preferably a brownstone, but I’m not picky.

Love Adventure

Imagine a never ending vacation taking place in extraordinary locations  from the United States to Japan with your perfect mate and unlimited funds.

This fantasy vacation may  sound too good to be true but this is my idea of the greatest adventure and that is the adventure of love.

This vacation is ideal because it will be full of  intimacy, discovery, compassion, trial, understanding, and exploration.  There is no point to such a life changing experiences without being able to share it with that special someone who you plan to spend the rest of your life with. The perfect fantasy vacation is a getaway from reality where you and your lover can become one, migrating from continent to continent in search of beauty, culture, and love in earth crevice. With that one person by your side you need nothing else but to fall in love over and over again in a different place, at a different time everyday. Take pictures with the pyramids of Egypt, eat spaghetti in Rome, share a kiss at the top of the Eiffel Tower, relax on the beaches of Puerto Rico, Shop the streets of Tokyo, sight see in the Outbacks of Australia, and discover the creatures that inhabit the African Safari. Each night you would make love to the sounds of your surrounding culture and reflect on our daily activities; the people you met, the foods you ate, the things you saw.  The perfect setting for the greatest love story never told. I hope to one day travel with my soul mate (if I ever find him) to every destination on earth and share moments that only he and I will recall. Home is where the heart is and as long as I am with my love, I will be home.

Maldives Islands!

My ideal vacation involves relaxing, pampering, and simplicity. I love researching exotic destinations I’d hope to travel to someday and I’ve decided that my dream vacation would be an escape to the Maldive Islands. The Maldives Archipelago is in the middle of the Indian Ocean and would make for the trip of a lifetime. I’ve never seen more enchanting resorts and beautiful colors than in the photos of Maldives. It is the embodiment of fantasy, the opposite of a city, a suburb, and reality as I know it. 

I wish I knew someone who has visited here because I imagine the experience is like nothing else. It is a popular location for newlyweds on their honeymoon and scuba divers who venture to the Southern Atolls. I would love to dive in these cobalt blue waters! I would also be more than okay with getting massages and doing yoga all day. I have a feeling that if I do ever get there it’ll be a struggle to get me to leave.

What I would love more than anything is this world is to be in paradise, relaxing, laying on the beach, taking in the sun and swimming in the crystal clear water of Fiji! I’ve always had a fascination with Fiji since the first time I had heard about it. It just seems like such a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing place to be and this site is not something you can get everywhere! It seems like such a different experience than the ones we have in the states, I mean, look at the place! Who wouldn’t want to go?!

Just looking at pictures I am in awe that a place like this can exist. It looks so flawless and perfect!  If I were to go I would be nothing but smiles all day. The palm trees and the clear water and the amazing scenery makes this place look so appealing. I also see it as a place that you can go to with your girlfriends, or with your family, or even on your honeymoon. It is just such an amazing site for me to see and I am in love with it already! I get so excited when I see these pictures and hope that one day my dream will come true and I will be on the beautiful island of Fiji with some great people that I love sharing the experience with me!

TAKE ME TO BORA BORA!- By Fantasia

What better place than Bora Bora where I can lay on the beach in a tropical paradise? I love clear crystal waters, sand, exotic ocean creatures and beautiful clear blue skies. I have always known I wanted to go somewhere tropical if I was given the benefit of the doubt, and I am confident that Tahiti would be the perfect combination of both island bliss and beauty horizons.

The island is located about 160 miles northwest of Tahiti. I’ve never been to Bora Bora. However, I heard so many wonderful things about Bora Bora from friends and family members. When I saw the movie Couples Retreat it just confirmed my likings for Bora Bora. I was blown away by the stunning beauty of the island. I would love to visit here one day and make my dream vacation a reality. The couples in the movie Couples Retreat stayed at St. Regis Bora Bora Resort.  The resort is amazing however quite pricey but in the case, I will save up every penny and take the first flight there.

Bora Bora’s tropical mountains and lagoon would be picture perfect; the lagoon offers many different activities such as; jet skiing, snorkeling, diving, swimming with the turtles and sting rays, or even take a guided tour of a shark feeding! (Which I would not do lol) The point of a vacation is getting away from the normal hustle and bustle, and being able to just sit back and relax with a glass of wine, if of age. Bora Bora is definitely a place I see myself going to in the near future.
